We use them and never give them a thought, but pincushions can be plain, fancy and collectible!
A slide show of various styles of pincushions through the ages will be shown including filling and stuffing options. Three different pincushion patterns will be presented, kit includes the supplies (final embellishing suggestions will be made). Students should finish one in class, others at home.

Half Day Class
Minutes, that is. Want to make gifts for all your sewing (and non-sewing) friends? This mystery class shows you ten quick gift ideas you can complete in under twenty minutes. Students should complete SEVERAL projects during class time. Two coordinating fat quarters is all you need to bring. Required kit will include small, easy to find supplies so you can make many more of these when you get home!
A construction technique dating back to the Civil War can solve many of your quilting problems today!
This adaptable technique allows you to use leftover blocks, try something new in a small format, and makes a great cooperative project for your quilt guild. Potholder quilts can be very traditional in appearance or they can be extremely innovative and asymmetrical. Tips will be given on organizing a potholder group quilt.

Half Day Class
Oh, those luscious batiks, so hard to resist! In this scrap quilt class you will be introduced to 3 designs utilizing MANY batik fabrics. The designs are broken down by what shape you cut your batiks into: strips, squares or rectangles. If your batik stash has gotten out of hand, come enjoy this class!

Half Day Class
Explore over a dozen different designs created from this easy to piece star block. Totally scrappy, Rainbow Fade, Monochromatic, Medallion, Lightening Stars, Twinkling Stars, embellished, 3-dimensional paper pieced, take your pick. An easy sewing trick eliminates cutting any diagonals. A class for beginners to experts! An “easy traveler” class where you bring small amounts of fabrics from your stash.

All Day or Half Day Class
(Whole day class): Learn 4 construction (hand and machine) methods for making crazy pieced blocks. Tips provided on using silks, velvets, brocades and fragile fabrics. A brief introduction is given to the wide world of embellishments. MANY samples shown. If you’ve always wanted to try making a crazy quilt, this is the class for you! Half day class covers only two methods of construction.

Half Day Class
It’s got plaid! It’s got flannel! It’s got t-shirts! It’s got beer! Well, all right, a t-shirt about beer. This lap quilt uses an unusual construction method that allows you to use heavy fabrics such as wool and denim to make a sturdy, washable quilt. A flannel backing makes this quilt especially cosy. Learn a construction method you will use again and again.

Half Day Class
We all know how great striped binding looks on a quilt. This class will show you six other ways to use stripes, from embellishments to folding/stitching/cutting combinations to fabric jewelry. Different kinds of stripes (and how to use them) will be covered. Four quilt designs will be presented. An “easy traveler” quilt class requiring only two half yards of two striped fabrics.
Sewing Level: Beginner. Accurate cutting and sewing ¼ seam allowance required.
